For over 40 years, the distinctive Accrington-brick former mill building on Queens Road has been the base for this family business. Director Robert Tasker has headed the company since 1984, building on the family values established by his great grandfather when he founded the company in 1896.

 
Five years ago, Robert invited good friend Ivor Lefton to join the company to inject fresh marketing ideas and to help him to move the company forward. Ivor had many years experience in his Blackpool based furniture business, and relished the new challenge. Together, he and Robert have prepared an exciting new strategy for the future.

“Our customers prefer to shop in a relaxed, family atmosphere, so we decided to show our commitment by improving our showroom which had served us all so well for so long,” said Ivor. “We decided to maintain our allegiance and loyalty to the town of Accrington and its people by staying in our current premises. We invested over £1 million in a complete refurbishment of our showrooms, and have provided a pleasant, relaxed shopping experience designed for the needs of the 21st Century. Judging by the business we’ve achieved since these improvements, we’ve been very successful,” he added.
